Installing Docker

In this lesson, we'll install the latest version of Docker CE. The commands used throughtout this video are below.


Uninstall old versions:
sudo yum remove -y docker \
                  docker-client \
                  docker-client-latest \
                  docker-common \
                  docker-latest \
                  docker-latest-logrotate \
                  docker-logrotate \

Install Docker CE

Add the Utilities needed for Docker:
sudo yum install -y yum-utils \
  device-mapper-persistent-data \
Set up the stable repository:
sudo yum-config-manager \
    --add-repo \
Install Docker CE:
sudo yum -y install docker-ce
Enable and start Docker:
sudo systemctl start docker && sudo systemctl enable docker
Add cloud_user to the docker group:
sudo usermod -aG docker cloud_user
